It was indeed an immensely delightful moment for the couple and all their well wishers. The centre of the little golden window had their names and the date.
Both the families were immensely happy and often came out in the media expressing their love for the couple.
Like the Nawab Saif Ali Khan’s wedding with Kareena Kapoor, Soha’s wedding too was a private affair.
The vows were taken in front of family members and a marriage registrar only.
The family did come out on the door to greet the fans and media after the ceremony.
It was a huge sensation in the media since it had been one of the most awaited weddings of Bollywood.
Kunal Khemu and Soha Ali Khan first met on the sets of “Dhoondte Reh Jaoge”.
These two weren’t very fond of each other that time as evident from their interviews where Soha said “When I first met Kunal, I didn’t even think a friendship was possible between us, let alone being in a relationship.” Kunal had a similar view that time, “I thought of her as this Oxford grad and could never think that we would ever click.” Eventually the Love bloomed and they were together.
They moved in an apartment and were in a live in relationship since May 2013.
The Princess of Pataudi Soha Ali Khan tweeted on 23rd July 2014 that her beau Kunal Khemu had proposed to her in the romantic city of Paris and she said yes 🙂 The tweet was followed by a gush of congratulations from celebrities and all her fans. With a rose flower pattern and a golden ribbon bow indicating the wedding knot.
Although it was a "small wedding” and an intimate affair, the Pataudi residence was filled with warmth from well wishers. The festivities commenced on January 22 with an intimate bachelorette party for Soha, including actresses Neha Dhupia and Konkona Sen Sharma. The event saw top names from Bollywood like Karan Johar , Malaika Arora Khan, Arshad Warsi and members from the Kapoor family.
For the main function the bride looked lovely in a cream and orange lehenga-choli, Kareena Kapoor Khan looked spectacular in a champagne-pink sari by designer Manish Malhotra.
Saif, the perfect nawab in a white achkan and a pink turban and Kunal Khemu looked sharp in his Silver sherwani.
